Like the standard version of the OptimusS, the Bluetooth version can also be used for offline bar code scanning and mobile data collection. This compact scan terminal is only slightly larger than a mobile device and weighs as little as 140 g. It has a keyboard with 21 fixed keys and additional 4 programmable function keys. At the same time, data transfer from up to 100 metres is made possible through a Bluetooth connection. This way realtime applications on the OptimusSBT 5535 can easily be realised. Examples include automatic transfer of packing lists for order-picking in warehouses and updating patients' master data in hospitals. Programme the data terminal from Honeywellâ??s menu-driven Optimizer Software, or freely with C-libraries provided free of charge. As the device was designed for mobile operation, it can even withstand impact and drops. ScanPal programmes can be converted with a free software tool into OptimusSBT 5535 compatible versions.
